ABOUT ME

Equine, couples, portrait, farm photographer near Launceston

I'm Amy, I’m a proud mumma of a wild little cowboy, and married to a handsome farmer who I met at an Oktoberfest bar night during my uni days. Our little family is based on a farm near Launceston Tasmania, but we have had the privilege of living in a number of beautiful locations around rural New South Wales before settling down in Tassie.

I grew up in Sydney and moved to Orange NSW to study a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business Management. From there I worked for a leather goods and saddlery manufacturer for 5 years. Then our little boy came into the world and a lot changed (as always for a new mum). My perspective changed and I struggled to find my identity after becoming a mother. Through frustration came a craving for a creative outlet.

Daily life on the land and connecting with people within our local communities is what inspired me to get behind the lens. I love capturing the little moments of rural life and our surroundings that resonate with others living the same lifestyle, or those who have a rural connection.

I get such a buzz getting behind the lens in the sheep yards and I find peace in wondering the paddocks photographing my horses and the quiet, remote surroundings.

Along the way, I found that my digital marketing skills and my photography could work really well hand-in-hand. I now provide my social media, web design and digital marketing services to small, regionally based businesses and offer content creation services too. I really do need to pinch myself daily. I feel so lucky that I get to do what I love for a living!

I love sharing some of my favourite photographs as fine art prints. I enjoy making a house feel like a home, so if a photo of mine hung up on your wall can be part of making your space feel complete, then my heart will be happy.

So have a look around, and if you think you'd like to work with me or order one of my prints please don't hesitate to get in touch!

xx Amy.
